Our juices contain naturally occurring sugars from the cold-pressed fruits and vegetables, which is different from the added and refined sugars we look to crowd out pre-cleanse. When juicing the glucose from the fruits and vegetables serves as the body's energy source in replacement of the regular carbohydrate sources such as oats, sweet potato, quinoa, rice, vegetables and fruits. It’s important to have a source of readily available energy during the cleanse as this is what allows you to still have strength and focus (although they may be slightly reduced) for your cleansing days.
